Final Project

Hi welcome to our final project! Sydney and I will be discussing the childhood novel, “Blubber,” by Judy Blume. With our lesson plan, we will talk about the book and the deeper meaning. Our goal is for the students to find and understand the deeper meaning of the story. We will guide them by presenting them with a video explaining the multiple intelligences, which will help them identify what they are and engagement questions about the book. We hope the students are able to understand the novel and Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences by the end of our lesson plan! https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1cj-h1u4N22i3ULQjEM9XC9PAX-90YGDPw6yMBHW24Lg/edit#slide=id.p Madie’s … Continue reading Final Project

This research project has furthered my understanding of making lesson plans for elementary school students. I was able to learn more about how to use specific tools that will help me in the future. Tools that I learned … Continue reading Final Blog Post

We think that a great way to teach students about this book would be through powerpoints, videos and comprehension questions. This project allows us to teach students a very valuable lesson in a fun and entertaining way. Teaching them this way will allow them … Continue reading Third Blog Post

Second blog post

Hi! My name is Sydney Abate and welcome back to my blog post! The text that I will be focusing my research on is Blubber by Judy Blume. In this book they conduct two intelligences. These are interpersonal and intrapersonal. The interpersonal aspect comes in when the main character, Jill has to deal with being apart of something she does not want to be apart of. The intrapersonal aspect plays in when readers see how Jill struggles within herself and her conscience. I have chosen this book because Blume’s books are ones that teach lessons to readers. I find this … Continue reading Second blog post
