The gothic and romantic are classic literary time periods in English that many readers enjoy. “The Raven,” by Edgar Allan Poe is a representative example of these literary periods, and is a poem that many know and love. The Tell Tale Heart

The short story “The Tell-Tale Heart” is by Edgar Allen Poe. It is a very morbid story, but Poe always leaves behind an important lesson for all of his readers. In this story the message is that guilt can ruin us and destroy people. It is better to be honest and set your guilt free. As a future educator it is part of my job to constantly keep the children engaged.
