I am interested in looking at realist literature. Realism was a literary and artistic movement that followed Romanticism. Realism is characterized by the choice of the everyday, the use of very typical and authentic settings, believable characters, and very relatable plot lines. Issues of class, money, gender, and geographic location often appear in these works.
