Modernism and Realism in The Great Gatsby

The Modern Period had begun in the 1900s and was a movement in which technology and urbanization increased due to the Industrial Revolution. A favorite text of mine that is included with this time period is The Great Gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald. Modernism was portrayed through the corruption of the American dream and disobeying society’s rules.
