In my last blog post I talked about the teaching fifth and sixth graders about the Roaring 20s using the book, What Were the Roaring Twenties? by Michele Mortlock. Hi and welcome back to my third blog post! In my last blog posts I have talked about teaching the Roaring 20s to fifth and sixth graders. 2nd Blog Post; The Roaring 20’s.

After talking about The Great Gatsby in my last blog post and researching about The Roaring 20’s, I will be using the book “What Were The Roaring Twenties? (What Was) by Michele Mortlock. Even though I have not read this book yet, it looks like a great book for 5th and 6th graders because it has many pictures of what the 1920s had in that lifestyle but also is a chapter book. What I would like to teach.

American Literature is the best way to learn about different time periods to younger generations. I have an interest in teaching children because I want to be that teacher that the children look up to like when I looked up to my teachers. Teaching also interests me because I want to teach the kids so they can have the confidence of learning so they can be anything they want to be when they get older.
