The gothic and romantic are classic literary time periods in English that many readers enjoy. “The Raven,” by Edgar Allan Poe is a representative example of these literary periods, and is a poem that many know and love. Exploring Romaticism and Colonial America

As a future educator, I have many ideas about what I would like to teach inAmerican literature and how I would like to teach it. Currently, my focus iseither on the early colonial literary period or the Romantic period.
