Welcome Everyone to “The Raven” Podcast!

Here is a podcast created for other fellow present and future educators that are interested in teaching the Gothic and Romantic literary periods to their elementary students. Many forget about Gardner’s intelligences and how effective they can be in making differences in whether a child understands the material or feels lost during a lesson. This podcast is geared for children who learn from the musical and naturalistic intelligences, but this will still help teachers establish other ideas for students who learn in different ways. Topics discussed include a basic understanding of the literary periods themselves, the intelligences and what they mean, as well as clear learning objectives that should be in place for the lesson. Through Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven,” we talk about how to appeal to the child and their abilities. Again, this podcast was created for new or veteran teachers who feel overwhelmed and need to listen to other educators to feel confident in their teaching. Whether a teacher or just interested in the topic simply hit play and enjoy!
