Margaret and I decided to create a lesson plan on immigration to help educators teach this important lesson better. We both agreed that immigration shapes America into what it is today, and students need to understand that. Even at a young age of seven and eight, children should understand that not everyone was born here, like they most likely were. Margaret and I included activities that go along with Gardner’s interpersonal and spatial intelligences. We hope this lesson plan helps educators as we hope to use it one day in our own classrooms!
