Third Blog Post

Hi, welcome back to my third and final blog post! Today we will be discussing my experiences of completing this lesson plan! In my experince, this project was very beneficial and helped me to know how to manufacture lesson plans for the future! The successes I had as a result of the research process including making a sufficient lesson plan that not only relates to the background of the story but also incorporates multiple intelligences. An exciting discovery was manufacturing a successful lesson plan. When developing the lesson, it was in the best interests to try to make it efficient for students to learn from. Using various learning techniques helped to be accommodating to all students. This is geared towards people with different learning abilities who can flourish to their full potential. Breaking down a higher reading level for younger students made this experience feel that any lesson plan can be accomplished despite having the challenge of a correct reading level and grade.

Challenges we faced during this project was trying to figure a way in which the story related to the intelligences. One that created a challenge was trying to manufacture an activity for the students that related to Intrapersonal intelligence. This intelligence is something that a student can relate themselves. This is the intelligence which is dependent on the feelings and skills of an individual personally. In the short-story, the main character can be used as an example of someone using their Intrapersonal skills. Throughout the story, the main character couldn’t relate to another’s feelings. Trying to incorporate this intelligence had to be a big challenge but my partner and I made it work. With enough research and brainstorming, we had figured out a plan in which this intelligence can be folded into our lesson.

Something that I’ve learned from the author over the course of research is how to incorporate a reading in which is intended for an older audience and develop it for an elementary-level class. By doing so, it is keeping the theme in which the writer had intended for an all-age audience. Experiencing this research, allows the progression of stronger themes and has a greater impact on a student’s schooling career. I’ve also learned how to use various techniques into the lesson plan without being repeatitive of the main idea. This gave the students a different perspective on the writing piece and allows them to think more effectively and efficiently on the topic.
