Hi everyone welcome to blog post number two! When majoring in education, it is insightful to manufacture a pleasant teaching style. Something that I strive for my students is to use a various series of intelligences. Every student learns at a different pace and different style. An important segment to keep in mind is trying to keep the students intrigued and eager to learn new material. Some students learn visually, cooperative learning and inquiry based. By teaching with a variety of learning techniques, this reaches the accommodations for all students. A great story that I believe impacts young minds is “Tell-Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe. Although, being on the eerie side of literature, there is a very powerful message. The powerful message in which Poe incorporated into the short-story was that you shouldn’t commit any wrongful crimes because in the end, your guilt it will make the truth come out. This storyline is steered towards second and third graders. For a lesson plan, I was thinking of showing a presentation in which involves the following: a short introduction piece of what we will be discussing, a short clip showing students that when you commit a wrong-doing there would be consequences that follow, and questions of prior wrongdoings and how students felt after doing so. The selected activities will be associated with interpersonal intelligence from Gardner’s multiple intelligences. Allowing students to work more effectively with each other will help them to get more work done.
